The American Gaming Association predicts that American adults will bet $2.72 billion on the 2024 NCAA men’s and women’s tournaments. To be clear, that's the official number – and is only the "above board" money expected to be wagered. It doesn't factor in the many billions of dollars that will exchange hands because of things like bracket contests and casual bets with friends. When ALL the money is considered, industry insiders believe more than $15 billion will be gambled before a champion is crowned.
