Usher and The Color Purple were two of the biggest winners at this year’s NAACP Image Awards.
Usher was presented with one of the night’s top awards, Entertainer of the Year, by Oprah. It was just one of three NAACP Image Awards won by Usher, alongside the President’s Award and Male Artist.
The Color Purple and its cast also won a whole bunch of honors. The movie won for Outstanding Motion Picture, and stars Fantasia Barrino and Taraji P. Henson were recognized for their roles in the film.
Other big winners included Victoria Monét and Chris Brown, both of whom won in two categories.
