Julio is a struggling young writer. Gazmuri is an established writer who needs someone to type up the manuscript of his latest novel. Julio is not that someone. Instead of confessing the truth to Blanca - his neighbor and lover - Julio pretends to transcribe Gazmuri's presumed novel, by writing it himself. In search of a plot, Julio revisits a romance he had 8 years ago with Emilia when both were studying literature in Valdivia.
