Ciara has been sued by a West Hollywood gay bar for allegedly backing out of an appearance during L.A. Pride week. According to TMZ, the Factory nightclub filed the suit against CiCi, saying that she signed a $10,000 contract to appear at the club on June 7th -- one day before she was supposed to perform on the main stage at the 2013 L.A. Pride Parade.
The Factory said that Ciara did tell them ahead of time that she couldn't perform there due to restrictions in the contract with the L.A. Pride event, but allegedly made it seem like she could make an appearance. The Factory claimed that CiCi unexpectedly called off the whole thing on June 3rd.
The club has sued CiCi for breach of contract and they want her to pay for the money they spent to promote her appearance, plus the money they lost out on because Ciara walked away.
The club sent their process server to serve Cici with papers during her performance at the 2013 L.A. Pride Parade, but she tossed the papers right back at them.
Ciara's rep responded to suit, saying that its bogus since the singer backed out of it before a deal was ever finalized. The rep said, "Ciara's commitment to perform at L.A. Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance. Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, the Factory continued to market and promote Ciara's appearance."
CiCi's rep continued, "The reason for the continued marketing/promotion is unclear, as it is not known why the Factory would intend to continue to mislead the public, to cause damage to the L.A. Gay Pride festival and to attempt to portray Ciara in a negative light."
Fantasia has finally opened up about her relationship with Antwaun Cook. The singer -- who faced criticism for dating Cook while he was still married, told iFeliciousabout the relationship, "You only heard what you heard, you only got what you got. But you never got to see that real love and that relationship, that friendship that we had. They kept running with this whole knowledge thing, and she stole somebody from some woman...Well, if everybody really looks at it and goes and does their research, I won that case. So obviously, if I won that case, it never was what they said it was."
She continued, "But once something gets out there, people believe everything they hear, or they just put their own twist, their own spin to it...Regardless of what you say, he's still my son's father. I still do love him. No, we're not together, but he's still a great father, a great friend, and nobody's gonna change that."

Chris Brown is under criminal battery investigation ... TMZ has learned.
Remember that brawl between Chris and Frank Ocean last January outside a recording studio? Law enforcement told us shortly after the incident the case was closed, but we found out that's not the case.
We've learned the L.A. County D.A.'s Office has an active file and is deciding whether to prosecute Brown for battery.
It's interesting ... because Ocean never formally pressed charges. Nonetheless ... the case is under review.
It's possible the Brown/Ocean incident could come up today at Brown's probation review hearing. Brown is supposed to be in court, and the judge could raise the issue because Chris was ordered to obey all laws.
BTW ... Brown is also being investigated for an alleged hit-and-run.
