Shout out to the Jacksonville American Idols...

Hi T-Roy:

My daughter, Eboni McMiller was one of the Jacksonville American Idols sponsored by your affiliate, Fox 30 and Dr. Quinn's office.

The winners were chosen out of approximately 400 contestants. Despite their wonderful voices, they were not chosen to proceed to the next round of American Idol.

After going through the audition process with my daughter, I am convinced (and not just because my daughter has a great voice) that the auditions are not totally based on the singers singing ability. There were so many awesome voices turned away, so it became evident that the producers were looking for "something"or "someone" specific such as a person that sung a certain genre of music or even a certain race or gender.

So to all of those that were turned away and you KNOW you got it going on...keep on singing and continue to follow your dreams. "This" opportunity was not "your" opportunity and God has something awesome down the road for you but you must not give up!!!
