Drake's Take Care and Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter Four are the nation's top-selling hip-hop albums, according to the latest SoundScan figures. Take Care, which has been out for 17 weeks, sold 58,000 copies to land at number-five. Weezy follows right behind at number-six. The next closest contender is yet another member of Young Money, Tyga -- his Careless World project placed at number-12 after selling 22,000 units.We can only assume that Birdman is somewhere looking at the charts with a big grin on his face. -- |

Joie Manda has left his post at Warner Brothers to take on the role of president at Def Jam. Manda calls the move "the greatest challenge of my career... The Def Jam artists roster has always been synonymous with the greatest in hip-hop, and I intend to carry that tradition into the future. The Weeknd must've heard about being dissed by The Dream one too many times, because he's finally taken to Twitter to fire back. Wale has been hand picked to be a part of the Royal Ballet in the United Kingdom along with Boy George, The Kills, and more.Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt have written nine songs already and will be quarterbacking the production. The piece -- called Carbon Life -- will be orchestrated by Rufus Wainwright, choreographed by Wayne McGregor and will feature over 18 dancers.
